Young Tibetan brothers and sisters who have grown up in Tibet and China and live in these countries, and who have special feelings towards the Tibetans, have been able to spread to a large audience many different forms of Tibetan songs and dances.
These songs and dances, which are strongly related to the ancient and modern culture of Tibet, are very valuable since they have the important quality of contributing directly and indirectly to the preservation of the different aspects of the Tibetan culture in our world.
The benefits and value of the very deep and vast Tibetan culture are inestimable not only for Tibetans but also for all the people of the world. This book contains a selection of hundred and eight songs including songs (glu), songs for dances (gzhas), and dances (bro). They are written down with their phonetics and related English translations, so that those foreigners who have a great interest in the Tibetan culture can read them.
