" What makes the concept of World Heritage exceptional is its universal application. In today’s interconnected world, culture's power to transform societies is clear. Its diverse manifestations enrich our everyday lives in countless ways. Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on to future generations. Our cultural and natural heritage are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration. Both heritage and creativity lay the foundations for vibrant, innovative and prosperous knowledge societies." (UNESCO)

The knowledge residing within Tibetan culture is something that can be of interest to all: coming closer to it we will discover how it is an heritage of great value for the whole humanity. This comprehension is of fundamental importance since the lack of awareness of how unique and valuable this knowledge is, might result in its loss. (Chogyal Namkhai Norbu)

Tibetan Culture Seminars and Events

One of the objectives of the Institute is to promote and organize courses, seminars, exhibitions, conferences and other events to allow the greater public to come in touch with aspects of the Tibetan culture that can enrich our lives in western society, integrating with our understanding and vision and providing nourishment for our evolution.

Our activities include the organisation of public interest events on ancient and contemporary Tibetan civilisation including medicine, history, philosophy and arts.

In addition, we offer academic lectures and organise conferences by some of the worlds leading Tibetologists in collaboration with the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London, Amherst College, Massachusetts and the University of Bologna.
